When is the best time to visit Croatia?

The best time to visit Croatia is between May and October. 

Other months may work as well, but many places are closed (like restaurants, bars etc.) and weather is colder and unstable, so it is not recommended, unless you like that type of weather and more peace and quiet.

On the Croatian coastline, swimming and sunbathing is recommended from June to early October.

You can swim in May as well, but temperatures are lower, so bear that in mind.

Dalmatia, which is most visited region of Croatia, has Mediterranean climate, which means it has warm and dry summers and mild winters.

In recent years, Croatia has been recognized as top tourist destination, and there has been major increase in number of tourists, so you can expect Dalmatian towns to be crowded from middle of May to early October.
